Network Appliances
In the IT world, the term "appliance" refers to computer hardware and software that is pre-configured by a manufacturer to perform a single or specialized set of functions. Designed as a complete solution for simple deployment in existing network infrastructures, end users do not need to understand the details of the operating system or commands associated with it. Once plugged into a network, the appliance boots to an active state and is useable within minutes. Ideal for small to mid-sized companies, with limited dedicated IT staff, Core IT distributes and integrates several purpose built appliances into our client projects:
- Storage arrays (Cybernetics, Nexsan and Nimble)
- Security, load balancing and virtual private networking (SonicWall and Cisco)
- Back-up and recovery (Axcient - Save IT)
- Network virtualization (Talari)
